I shot this photo of my father-in-law JT, at my granddaughter's birthday party at a local restaurant with my new Canon Powershot S2. It has a 12x zoom. I shot this from one end of two long tables that were put together. JT was at the far end from me and I zoomed in to get this. He was a bit far for the flash so I had to do some work to lighten it up. I did some channel blending and used some curves to lighten it, then used some blending techniques from Dan Margulis' brilliant book Photoshop LAB Color to enhance the contrast and color.
